Day 1 Welcome in Chamonix
Pick-up from Geneva airport or Chamonix airport. Check-in at your hotel. Your guide will meet you for a briefing on the week ahead in the early evening. Diner included in town or at your hotel

Day 2 Chamonix - la Flégère - Lac Blanc - Argentière
After a short transfer to the village of Les Praz (by train), we take the cable car up to La Flégère (1913 m), with its magnificent view over the valley and the sea of ice. From here, we take a slightly uphill balcony trail to Lac Blanc (2352 m) and its extraordinary panorama of the massif: Les Drus, La Verte, l'Aiguille du Midi and, of course, Mont Blanc. Descent via the Chéserys lakes (1891 m) to Argentière (1250 m), where we spend the night. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 3 Argentière - Col de la Forclaz - Bovine - Champex
In the morning, a short private transfer takes us across the border into Switzerland via Le Châtelard and the village of Trient to the Col de la Forclaz (1527 m). From here, we set off on foot through a forest of fir and larch to reach the alpine pastures of Bovine (1978 m), from where the view opens out over the valley and the bend of the Rhône below, and the northern foothills of the Mont Blanc massif. To the east, the imposing mass of the Combins massif accompanies us all day, leading us to Champex, a charming village on the shores of a small mountain lake, where we spend the night.

Day 4 Champex - Issert - Ferret - La Fouly - Courmayeur
Transfer Champex La Fouly by minibus. Departure on foot from the village of Ferret. We reach the Col Ferret, where the view of the Val Ferret and surrounding Glacier is exceptional. Italy opens its doors to us. Descent to Arnouva, where we catch a bus to Courmayeur. Settling into our comfortable hotel for the evening, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 Courmayeur - Col de la Seigne - Les Chapieux - Bour St Maurice
Early-morning bus transfer to Visaille (1659 m) at the foot of the Miage glacier, from where we set off on foot up the Lée Blanche valley, where summer sheep graze in the alpine pastures. We reach the Col de la Seigne (2516m) and cross the border back into France. The south face of Mont Blanc is now behind us, and we descend to Les Mottets. Our accommodation is in Bourg St Maurice, which we reach by private shuttle.

Day 6 Les Chapieux - col du Bonhomme - Les Contamines
We're off for our last day's hike, which will take us first to the Raja chalets, which mark the start of the slopes leading to the Croix du Bonhomme refuge (2639 m). The latter is the crossing point just before the Col du Bonhomme (2329 m), which opens onto the valley leading back to the Chalet de la Balme. We then head for the Nant-Borrant refuge, where we rejoin the trail. Back to Notre Dame de la Gorge and its little chapel before returning to Les Contamines.

Day 7 Les Contamines, Bionnassay, les Houches, Chamonix
On the last day of our stay, we take the road to the famous Bionnassay glacier and the hamlet of the same name. From here, we reach the Col de Voza, for decades the gateway to the narrow, uninviting Arve Valley. We take the Bellevue cable car to the center of Les Houches, then on to Chamonix, where we spend the last night of our stay. What satisfaction to have completed this beautiful loop! Free lunch in town!

Cancellation policy
Cancellation by You
If, for any reason, you need to cancel your trip, the amounts you have paid will be refunded, subject to the following deductions:
You must notify us of your decision to cancel in writing, using any method that provides acknowledgment of receipt. The cancellation date will be determined based on the date we receive your written notice.
In case of cancellation, for any reason, the following cancellation fees will apply:
- More than 31 days before departure: 30% of the total trip cost (excluding insurance)
- 30 to 21 days before departure: 40% of the total trip cost (excluding insurance)
- 20 to 14 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost (excluding insurance)
- 13 to 7 days before departure: 75% of the total trip cost (excluding insurance)
- Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of the total trip cost (excluding insurance)
Special Cases
Regardless of the cancellation or contract modification date, the following fees are added to the above scale:
- Non-refundable fixed ground fees: Any firm bookings made early (such as certain mountain huts) will be charged in case of cancellation.
- Insurance and registration fees: Whatever the insurance policy chosen, the cost of insurance and registration fees are non-refundable.
Cancellation by Us
Altaï France may cancel a trip free of charge in the following cases:
- If the minimum number of participants required to run the trip is not met.
- In case of exceptional and unavoidable circumstances, especially related to mountain conditions and customer safety.
In such cases, Altaï France will propose alternative solutions. If no suitable alternative is available, any unused services will be refunded. No additional compensation can be claimed.
You will be informed of any cancellation as soon as possible, and no later than:
- 30 days before departure for self-guided or exclusive trips
- 20 days before departure for trips longer than 6 days requiring a minimum number of participants
- 7 days before departure for trips lasting 2 to 6 days
- 48 hours before departure for trips shorter than 2 days
If Altaï France is forced to cancel all or part of the trip due to circumstances that compromise customer safety (e.g., poor mountain weather), the unused services will be refunded. No additional compensation will be provided.
For safety reasons and to ensure a consistent group level as described, the guide and organizers reserve the right to terminate your participation if your technical level or physical condition does not meet the requirements. In such a case, no refund or compensation will be provided.
